Spooky Sip Soirée: The Guide to Hosting Halloween

Spooky Sip Soirée: The Guide to Hosting Halloween

Spooky season is officially here, and hosting a memorable gathering doesn't have to mean spending hours playing bartender or barista behind the counter. Teaspressa’s Halloween Collection turns signature drinks into a quick three-step process, using handcrafted LUXE Mixer Cubes that infuse your glass with rich seasonal flavors.

Whether you are throwing a vampire-themed brunch, a dark fairytale cocktail hour, or a cozy autumn movie night, here is how to host, prepare, and serve with the four kits in Teaspressa’s Halloween lineup.

VAMPIRE MIMOSA MIXER TRIO

Black Vampire Mimosa luxe mixer cube kit with red velvet insert. Tart cherry, Blood Orange and Pomegranate Luxe Mixer Cubes.

  • Flavor Profile: Crimson notes of Blood Orange, Pomegranate, and Tart Cherry.

  • Hosting Vibe: Vampire’s Bloody Brunch or Midnight Soirée Brunch.

  • Decor & Atmosphere: Set up a moody brunch table with a dark velvet tablecloth, gothic floral arrangements (think black roses and deep burgundy dahlias), silver candelabras with dripping red wax, and Teaspressa’s Alouette Champagne Flutes.

How to Prepare Ahead:

  • Chill several bottles of Prosecco, Champagne or dry sparkling wine (or sparkling white grape juice for a zero-proof option).

  • OPTIONAL: Freeze fresh pomegranate seeds or dark cherries to add an eerie, floating effect in every glass.

How to Serve:

  1. Drop: Place two cubes of choice (Blood Orange, Pomegranate, or Tart Cherry) into a flute glass.

  2. Pour: Pour 4–6 oz of chilled Prosecco or Champagne directly over the cubes.

  3. Stir & Garnish: Give the drink a gentle stir. Garnish with a fresh rosemary sprig or a dark cherry pinned on a cocktail pick.

  • Flavor Profile: Crisp tart green apple infused with rich salted caramel, finished with a dark sugar rim.

  • Hosting Vibe: Enchanted Forest or Dark Fairytale Cocktail Hour.

  • Decor & Atmosphere: Create a mysterious, mystical bar setup using antique trays, mossy table runners, candied green apples on wooden skewers and Teaspressa’s Linea Coupe Glasses.

How to Prepare Ahead:

  • Pre-Rim Your Glasses: Lightly moisten the rims of your coupe/martini glasses with lemon juice, then dip them in sanding sugar. Set them aside on a tray for guests to grab.

  • Keep vodka (or a non-alcoholic spirit like Ritual Zero Proof) chilled.

  • Purchase dehydrated apple wheels/slices (or make them!) as a drink garnish.

How to Serve:

  1. Saturate: Drop one tart green apple cube and one salted caramel cube into a shaker, add 2 oz of warm water to dissolve the cube, and muddle with a Teaspressa Muddler into a syrup.

  2. Shake or Stir: Add 2 oz of chilled vodka and ice to a shaker. Shake vigorously until frost forms on the outside of the shaker.

  3. Pour & Serve: Strain into your sugar-rimmed martini glass. Top with a thin, dehydrated apple wheel floating on top.

WITCHES BREW PUNCH MIXER KIT

Purple Ornate Luxe Mixer Cube Kit with Cranberry and blueberry cubes, paired with a purple sugar rimmer.

  • Flavor Profile: A party-sized punch with a mystifying blend of tart berry and citrus notes.

  • Hosting Vibe: Classic Halloween Party or Witches' Coven Soirée.

  • Decor & Atmosphere: Make this drink the centerpiece of your party. Set up a dedicated "Potions & Elixirs" table featuring a large, food-safe black cauldron, flanked by tall brass candelabras, antique bottles labeled as rare ingredients, and Teaspressa’s Linea Drinking Glasses

How to Prepare Ahead (& The Dry Ice Cauldron Setup):

  • Pre-Rim Your Glasses: Lightly moisten the rims of your glasses with lemon juice, then dip them in the Potion Sugar Rimmer. Set them aside on a tray for guests to grab.

  • Dry Ice Safety Setup: Use the "bowl-inside-a-bowl" technique so the dry ice never directly touches the punch people drink. Place a smaller glass or stainless steel punch bowl inside your larger decorative black cauldron. The dry ice sits in the gap between the cauldron and the inner bowl.

  • Prep the Base: In a separate pitcher, dissolve six Bewitched Blueberry and six Coven Cranberry cubes in 12 oz of warm water and muddle to create a concentrated elixir base. Combine it with 12oz of silver tequila, vodka, or light rum. To make a mocktail, substitute the spirit with ginger ale. Keep chilled until party time.

How to Serve (with Dry Ice Effect):

  1. Activate the Fog: Right before guests arrive, carefully drop 2–3 small chunks of dry ice into the bottom of the cauldron (using tongs or heavy gloves) and pour hot water over them. Thick, heavy fog will immediately spill over the edges of the cauldron.

  2. Pour the Potion: Ladle the pre-mixed punch into the clean inner bowl sitting inside the fogging cauldron.

  3. Ladle & Garnish: Use a ladle to pour the punch into the glasses over fresh ice. Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint and top off each glass with ginger ale.
