Aperitivo cube, The Hugo cube, Tart Cherry cube
The bittersweet aperitivo profile translated into a cube. Orange carries the top with a natural citrus brightness, a bitter herbal finish holds the middle the way a proper Italian aperitif should, and a touch of paprika extractive brings the golden-hour colour without a synthetic edge. The flavour holds up to prosecco and soda without going flat as the ice melts.
Drop two cubes into a 16oz glass. Saturate with 3oz of water for 30 seconds. Muddle the saturated cubes until they become a simple syrup. Add ice to the glass, then top with 4oz of prosecco and 2oz of soda water. For a zero-proof pour, top with sparkling water instead.
Tallboy holds 30 cubes, which makes fifteen spritzes when using two cubes. Approximately 16 calories and 4 carbs per cube, less than a teaspoon of sugar. Non-alcoholic. Prosecco is added separately. Naturally flavoured.
