Green tea is one of the best natural ingredients to to enhance your skin's complexion. Thanks to the sustainability of Teaspressa's containers, you can repurpose our tea jars and elixir bottles to store these DIY products. 

While sipping on our Green Gold tea blend, you can treat yourself to these at-home remedies and pamper your skin.

Green tea offers great skin benefits thanks to its polyphenols and antioxidant properties. Studies show that polyphenols are excellent anti-inflammatories that help to fight free radicals and prevent the signs of aging. Some research also shows that green tea may reduce the risk of skin cancer caused by UV rays.

Green Tea & Coconut Oil Moisturizer

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons loose Green Gold

Directions:

  1. Steep 1 cup of Green Gold
  2. Melt coconut oil on medium heat in a saucepan. 
  3. Stir in the green tea.
  4. Cover and simmer on lowest heat setting for 1 hr.
  5. Strain tea from oil with cheesecloth.
  6. Let cool until almost solid.
  7. Whip for 3-5 min until creamy.
  8. Scoop into tea jar for future use. 

Coconut oil deeply moisturizes the skin without clogging pores. Its composed of saturated fats that even out your skin tone; antimicrobial properties to clear out germs and energize cell production; vitamin E to nourish and smooth skin; and proteins to heal scars and reverse sun damage. 

Apple Cider Vinegar and Green Tea Facial Toner

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon loose Green Gold
  • 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar (raw, un-pasteurised )
  • Optional - add 12 drops of lavender essential oil

Directions: 

  • Steep 1 cup of Green Gold.
  • Let cool and add 7 tablespoons of tea into elixir bottle.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to the bottle.
  • Optional - add lavender essential oil.
  • Gently shake to mix.
  • Store for future use.

Apple Cider Vinegar has alpha hydroxyl acids, which work to slough away dead skin cells, giving you a brighter, younger looking complexion. ACV also helps to encourage the growth of good bacteria, which keeps skin glowing and healthy.
