5 Things All Tea Drinkers Should Do Immediately
You love tea. It loves you. And...that's kind of the end of it, right?
Wrong! If you're a serious, daily, gotta-have-it tea drinker, here are five things you should do A-S-A-Possible. For the good of humanity.
1. Invest in a serious travel mug.
Part of me thinks that if you're a serious tea drinker, you probably already have a serious travel mug. But I, a serious coffee drinker, still don't have a travel mug.
And so I'm imparting this wisdom unto you, so that you may always, always have some tea on hand (hopefully, made just the way you like it).
Go for something double-walled with a clip-on, leak-proof lid, so your warm, tasty drink stays in the mug--and out of your bag.
2. Throw a real-life tea party.
I'm not even kidding. Raise your hand if you've ever sort-of entertained the idea of having some of your closest girlfriends over (in pretty dresses) for tea and cookies, while Spotify shuffles through a classical playlist in the background.
It's fun, it's out of the ordinary, it's a good excuse to let that fancy dress hiding in your closet get some sunshine.
3. Treat yourself with some luxury tea-brewing equipment.
I'm talking a french press or a pour over. Don't believe me? Just give it a try, and you'll be floored by the very existence of concentrated tea.
4. Make tea a part of your baking life.
Have you ever made chai vanilla cookies? Or earl grey frosting for your cupcakes? Or jasmine scones?
Tea has a ton of flavor, and there's no reason to shy away from adding it to your sweet treats. Here are some recipes to get you started!
Plus, just imagine: if looseleaf tea makes your chai cookies tasty, how much BETTER would it be with some of that concentrated flaver from your pour over?
5. Get savvy with household uses for tea!
Ever thought about using tea to fix a stinky fridge? What about to make an air freshener for your car? To clean wood floors and furniture? To aid with gardening? To make soap?
If you're already devoting most of your days to tea (in some form or another), you might as well learn about all the other ways tea can help you out. Here's a list of household uses for tea to get your brain-juices flowing!
